Matrix Task: 8 Points
Explain how shopping has changed over time. Give examples to illustrate your discussion. Find out “augmented reality shopping” what is it and how does it work?
In the past, shopping was a woman's job as well as cooking. Society was stereotypical in saying that only woman could do the shopping. The men however bought the hardware and manly things. The buildings were brighter and colourful. They used detailed wooden frames to 'vamp' the front of the building. This attracted the costumers into wanting to take a look at the building and the contents inside. The window display's summed up the contents inside and were always creative and bright.
Today, shopping is done by everyone for everything, no stereotypes. There are different ways of shopping in today's society such as online, internationally and the traditional shopping mall. There are more gourmet grocery shops and handy shops like Officeworks and Big W. There is a lot more of food stores and clothing stores. The store fronts are more modern and sophisticated less colourful. The shopping centres are bigger. Augmented Reality Shopping: Abbreviated as AR, Augmented Reality is a type of virtual reality that aims to duplicate the world's environment in a computer.
